The concept car is not just any car. It's a dream car. It's the car of the future. One of those cars I've seen is from Peugot. Its just an illustration, but it sure looks wierd. Imagine sitting inside a circle. There's a strip of table in front of you. This little strip replaces the dashboard. Apart from that, there's the steering wheel and nothing else. It was rendered transparent so you could see inside the drawing. Try going to yahoo and look for it. It arouses your curiosity somewhat because, aside from the seat, steering wheel and 2 people, there's nothing else in the interior.
One concept car that was actually made already is the Ford Shelby GT. Its general shape is recognizable as a GT but the paint job isn't. It might not even be painted. What I saw in the picture looked like stainless steel or an all-over chrome job. Sitting there on the floor of the desert, it was a beautiful site to behold. Wanna take a look? Go to google.com and search for images of ford shelby gt.
Whatever they look like, these cars are the innovators in technology. They contain the latest advances in automobile tech. And then there are some which feature stuff that hasn't been invented yet.
One of my favourites is the sky car. Its not only because it can fly, it also relieves the stress of everyday traffic. With that alone, this invention has a lot going for itself. Pretty sure the government will come up with something to regulate the use of this one. You might try getting one now while you can still go about wildly in the sky. Just don't enter any no fly zones else yo might find yourself adopting a new profession.
Almost all car manufacturers have their own concept car. Mitsubishi, Toyota, Nissan from the Japanese. In North America, you' ve got Ford, GM and Chrysler. Korean car manufacturers are fast catching-up. In Europe, the best of them all with names like BMW, Mercedes Benz, and Porsche.
Interesting as they may be, the concept car is always out of reach because they don't belong "now".
For the moment, I could use a Lamborghini or Ferrari. Then there's that Saleen super car. I guess these too will remain concepts to me. Simply cannot afford one, my dear.
